Welcome

The Area V Agency on Aging located in Pocatello provides information and support which maximizes independence and quality of life for older adults, 60 years of age and older, individuals with disabilities and vulnerable adults 18 years and older. The agency serves the citizens of Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida and Power counties. We welcome you to our website for information on advocacy and services.

We are the designated and local Aging and Disability Resource Center for southeast Idaho.

Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Our offices are closed for all State and Federal Holidays.

How We Can Help

We provide services for the following needs:
Home and Community-Based Services — Includes our Information and Assistance Program, Nutrition Services, Transportation Services, Legal Assistance, Medicare and Medicaid advice and information,  Durable Medical Equipment Lending Closet, Homemaker Assistance, Outreach, Services for Veterans, Commodity Supplement Food Program with Senior Centers, Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and Volunteer Opportunities. 

Caregiving — Valuable information and resources (including Respite) for the caregiver.

Rights and Safety — Topics and resources include Adult Protection, Skilled Nursing Home Service, Disaster or Emergency Planning.

Advocacy and Leadership — Our four-year plan, information on government-based resources, and volunteer opportunities.

Partners — A list with links to the information and resources of our Agency Partners.

Gifts and Donations — Information on ways you can help us fund the numerous community and in-home services for aging adults.

​Adult Protective Services --​ Adult Protective Services helps to protect vulnerable adults by investigating reports of Abuse, Exploitation, Neglect and Self Neglect of Vulnerable Adults.
