Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA)

SHIBA informs seniors about benefit programs and provides information on eligibility for help paying for prescription drugs and monthly Medicare Part B premiums.

Idaho Department of Health & Welfare

Idaho Department of Health & Welfare works closely with the Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho. Programs and units include Bureau of Facility Standards, Regional Medicaid Unit and the Developmental Disabilities Program.

Southeast Idaho Council of Governments (SICOG)

Nutrition Providers

Seniors can enjoy hot, fresh prepared meals in a friendly social setting. Cost to seniors 60 years and older is on a suggested donation basis. Contact a local provider for meal times and days (see provider's list below).

Living Independently For Everyone (LIFE, Inc.)

The Area Agency on Aging, through its Aging and Disability Resource Center, works closely with LIFE, Inc. on eligibility services, and referral protocol.

United Way of Southeastern Idaho

The United Way of Southeastern Idaho builds powerful partnerships that improve outcomes for children, families, and individuals in need. We strive to be the go-to place for community impact in our region. Our work focuses on creating a healthier, more financially stable, and educated SE Idaho. Our work covers the seven Southeastern counties of Idaho--Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, and Power. All donated funds stay local and 100% of funds donated by individuals through workplace giving campaigns goes to fund programs that impact our seven county region. Our overhead is covered by generous corporate sponsors and outside grant funding.

2-1-1 Idaho CareLine

The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine, a free statewide community Information & Referral service, is a program of the Department of Health & Welfare. The AAA is a partner, with our resource directory available on the 211 website.
